For the love of Laura Ellen.
Can tell I like chocolate abit too much when I’m following @kitkat and @oreo hahahahahah

When @Laura_ellenxx tweeted that, she didn’t realise that she’d start a full-scale social war for her divided affections:
The fight for @laura_ellenxx’s affections is on. @oreo your move #haveabreak twitpic.com/cb1g84

Oreo’s response:
Sorry, @kitkat we couldn’t resist … #GiveOreoABreak twitter.com/Oreo/status/31…
— Oreo Cookie (@Oreo) 13 mars 2013
Two things we love about this:
- How Kit Kat and Oreo demonstrate that being rivals doesn’t mean you can’t have a little fun, and show a little love, even if it crosses brand lines. (Is it so unreasonable to think there are Kit Kat lovers in the Oreo camp, or vice-versa?)
- What an awesome example this is of super-responsive, non-corporate speak by brands. We couldn’t have responded better than Laura Ellen did herself:
@kitkat @oreo OMG AM I IN HEAVEN

Us too, Laura. Us too.
