This is gonna be so, so bad for trees. But look how cute!

Design studio Berg is producing a suite called the Berg Cloud, delectable physical products that can wirelessly communicate with your web-enabled services. You just need a smartphone to set them up.

The first of these goodies is the Little Printer. Choose what content you want daily — news, the weather, puzzles, horoscopes, calendar notifications, birthdays, Foursquare updates — and it’ll print it out for you, as many times a day as you like, in the form of a little newspaper. Friends can also send messages to your printer.

CEO Matt Webb says the Little Printer is “more like a family member or a colleague than a tool,” adding, “paper is like a screen that never turns off. You can stick to the fridge or tuck it in your wallet. You can scribble on it or tear it and give it to a friend.” Or you can go on a paper binge and wrap yourself in other peoples’ horoscopes! (Don’t do that.)

The Little Printer will be available in 2012, reinforced by launch partners that include Arup, Foursquare, Google, the Guardian and Nike. To keep up with it, join the mailing list, follow @BERGcloud on Twitter or follow the blizzawg.
